La III Summer School dell’Associazione Collaborative Knowledge Building Group, dal titolo “L’apprendimento collaborativo: tecniche e strumenti”, si propone come occasione di incontro e alta formazione di carattere interdisciplinare per insegnanti, formatori, dottorandi, giovani ricercatori ed educatori professionali interessati ad approfondire le competenze nel campo dell’uso delle tecnologie e metodologie collaborative nei contesti educativi e formativi.
La Summer School, totalmente residenziale, prevede un’alternanza di keynote lecture tenute da personalità scientifiche italiane e straniere, attività laboratoriali e momenti di discussione e riflessione di gruppo.

È possibile scaricare il testo completo della call, le informazioni sulla logistica ed iscriversi alla Summer School sul sito web ufficiale (http://www.ckbg.org/summer2012/). È prevista una disponibilità massima di 50 partecipanti.
Le quote di partecipazione sono di:
• € 200, per i soci CKBG;
• € 250, per i soci AIP, AIF e SiEL, dottorandi, assegnisti e studenti universitari;
• € 270, per i non soci.
• € 200+€50, per chi si iscrive anche al CKBG.
Le iscrizioni e i pagamenti andranno effettuati entro il 30 marzo 2012. Per le iscrizioni effettuate dopo tale data, la quota di iscrizione è incrementata di € 30.

Dopo 50 anni finalmente è disponibile anche in italiano il libro che ha fondato la teoria delle rappresentazioni sociali. E sono davvero orgoglioso di poter dire che la traduzione è opera mia!

Serge Moscovici, Professore emerito di Psicologia Sociale all’École des hautes études en sciences sociales di Parigi, fondatore del Laboratoire Européen de Psychologie Sociale alla Maison des Sciences de l’Homme, Dottore Honoris Causa di varie prestigiose università, è stato insignito di numerosi riconoscimenti scientifici, tra i quali il Premio Balzan (2003), il premio Wundt-James (2007), il premio Nonino (2010).
Opera
L’opera di Serge Moscovici “La Psychanalyse, son image et son public” costituisce l’atto di nascita e la riformulazione della teoria delle rappresentazioni sociali da parte di Serge Moscovici, definito da Leon Festinger “il più importante e creativo pensatore nella psicologia sociale contemporanea”. La scelta della psicoanalisi (insieme una teoria e pratica terapeutica), come oggetto controverso di conoscenza/esperienza, era guidata dall’obiettivo di studiare i processi di trasformazione, le relazioni e/o le discontinuità tra conoscenza esperta e senso comune, tra “universi reificati” e “universi consensuali” con le loro specifiche modalità epistemiche e funzioni nel più ampio sistema simbolico delle relazioni sociali e dei posizionamenti ideologici, mediati dai vari sistemi di comunicazione. Moscovici mostra come si strutturano nei sistemi di comunicazione le diverse forme della diffusione, propagazione e propaganda, originando varie tipologie di rappresentazioni.

It is a long time that I cannot write a new post because I am very taken from big problems of job. There are also many papers I would like to write and for which I cannot achieve the needed concentration.
This leads me to reflect on the peculiar status of knowledge workers in this difficult moment in history. Is this the decline of the so-called “knowledge society”?
We are witnessing an economic crisis and a clash between the financial system, political system and production system that is unprecedented in the history of modern societies. There are two categories of citizens and workers in Western countries that seem most vulnerable to the effects of this crisis. The types of workers who are placed as it were the extremes of a continuum of professional profiles: those with the lowest level of education and skills, and the so-called knowledge workers, with high levels of education. I wonder if a common feature to these two types of workers is the fact that they share a close overlap between aspects of identity and work. In other words, they are those workers whose life and work are highly overlapping. The first are those whose life and work through the bodily dimension coincide, taking the classic definition of “proletarian” or one who identifies with their arms and those of their children. The second are those whose life and work overlap through the intellectual dimension, whose thought is the only resource.
I think in both categories, the size of the job is a strong identity. I am also my work and the distinction between work and private life is more nuanced. In this case, work is not an alienated activity, an abstract value, in Marxist terms, that can be moved and applied to other contexts. it is rather constitutive of my own identity. If I loose my job, I loose part of my identity, because there is a fuzzy boundary between life and job. It happens, of course, with every type of worker, but I think that in the case of knowledge worker this process is more relevant.
I find an indirect confirmation of this hypothesis in the fact that many people share this sense of loss with respect to the present generation of young people. It appears very clear how they have been told that knowledge is their future, that the mind is the main asset of a worker. Now that many young knowledge workers are unemployed, is like they have been told that there is no future for “their own minds”. It is something affecting a more inner level than saying that inspite of your job you can do another thing. It is like to say “you must be something else”.
